Had Ariana Grande known that Power 106 DJs Justin Credible and Eric D-Lux asked things like, “If you could use makeup or your phone one last time, which one would you pick?” she probably would have stayed her happy self at home. Instead, poor Ariana had to waste her time schooling ignorant dudebros about a little thing called ‘equality.’
“Is this what you think girls have trouble choosing between?” she shot back. “Is this men assuming that that’s what girls would have to choose between?”
When she told them that actually yes, she can go hours without looking at her phone and one DJ advised, “Listen and learn, ladies!” she wasn’t having any of that, either. “Boys, learn,” she corrected. “Boys and girls, we can all learn.”
From there she just kept the feminism coming, arguing that the new unicorn emoji isn’t just for ladies and that there are a lot of issues in the world she’d love to solve, including misogyny.
Stand up for the ladies, Ariana! We’ll consider this a mic drop.
