Authorities have issued a massive manhunt for former Tennessee health teacher Tad Cummins in the abduction investigation of 15-year-old Mary Catherine Elizabeth Thomas, who was reported missing this past Monday by her parents. Amber Alerts were sent out in Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
In a recent news conference, Tad’s wife, Jill Cummins, gave an emotional statement, where she addressed her husband by saying, “Tad, this is not you. This is not who you are. We can help you get through this. No matter how far you’ve gone or what’s happening right now, God’s grace is sufficient for you, and He wants you to come home. Your family wants their Papi back. Please do the right thing, and turn yourself into the police and bring Beth home.”
Jill was supported by her pastor, who stood alongside her, while she goes on to claim that she had no idea her husband was involved with anything that could’ve lead to the abduction. She also expressed how deeply troubled she is, as well as her emotional state for the family of Beth Thomas by saying,”My heart breaks for the family of Beth Thomas. I want you home just as much as the rest of you, and I’m also very worried about Tad.”
“I’m also very worried about Tad.”
She also thanked the media for spreading the word while encouraging everyone to help get this message out as far as they can to ensure the safe return of both Tad and Beth.
Cummins is now charged with aggravated kidnapping. TBI Spokesman Josh DeVine stated that the process has started to add Cummins to the TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted. DeVine called the situation ‘dire,’ according to FOX-17 News.
