Dangerous wintry roads caused a major pile-up on a Missouri interstate highway and it tragically resulted in the death of at least one person.
A video that was posted online captured the incident that happened on Friday at 11am. In the clip you can see cars coming down the highway and trying to stop, but then collides with other cars and trucks. It went on for a couple of minutes, and as a result, 47 cars in all were damaged and one person sadly lost their life.
Information on the victim who died was not immediately available. However, it was also reported that a total of nine people were injured during the collision.
The MSHP (The Missouri Highway Patrol) said that between Friday morning and the early hours of Saturday it had responded to reports of 587 car crashes and 598 stranded motorists due to the bad weather.
