10 Injured Following Shooting At Alabama High School Football Game
10 young people were injured after a shooting broke out at an Alabama high school football game!
According to NBC15, five of the teens are in critical condition, but none of the injuries seem to be life-threatening as of now. The incident happened at the Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Chief Lawrence L. Battiste IV said that two people were currently in custody and the shooting most likely escalated from issues on the streets.
“We treat this like an active shooter scenario,” Battiste said. “Our guys, when they heard shots rang out, they moved to the area.”
A spokesperson for the Mobile County Public School said,
“It is sad that something like this happened at a high school football game, where our athletes were having a good game on the field,” said Rena Phillips.”We do not know all of the details as this is a Mobile Police investigation, so we will have to refer all further questions to the MPD.”
