10-Year-Old Boy Shot In The Head While Walking Home From School In Philadelphia

A 10-year-old boy is the latest victim to suffer from gun violence. According to NBC, the kid was just walking home from school when he shot in the back of his head during a drive-by shooting this afternoon in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m., just two blocks from Warren G. Harding Middle School. It was said that a red or maroon Pontiac pulled up near him and a gunman opened fire from the backseat of the vehicle, hitting the boy in the back of the head. Police said that the boy was just an innocent bystander. However, they did not reveal the gunman’s intended target.

As of right now, the boy is currently in critical but stable condition at a local hospital. No arrests have been made and police have not yet released a description of the gunman.
