12-year-old Takes Uber To Parking Garage & Jumps To Her Death
The family of a young girl want answers after she took an Uber by herself in the middle of the night to a parking garage, where she jumped to her death.
KCCI reports that Benita “BB” Diamond, from Orlando, was picked up by a driver in the middle of the night on Jan. 10.
“If Uber had followed their policy, without a doubt, our daughter would still be here,” her father Ronald Diamond said.
The family revealed that their daughter used her mother’s phone to download the app then used a gift card to pay for the ride. Uber has strict policies were they are not allowed to transport minors.
The young girl was taken to a nine story building where she jumped to her death. She also left a note saying that she was “past the point of return.”

The parents are considering a lawsuit against the transporting giant as they want Uber to enforce its policy that minors shouldn’t ride alone.
