A Harlem teen was arrested and charged with the murder of Barnard College student Tessa Majors. Majors was fatally stabbed in Morningside Park on Wednesday evening.
CBS News reports the 13-year-old male suspect was caught trespassing in a building Thursday wearing the outfit that matched a description of Majors’ killer. The teen was arrested for criminal trespass and during the police search, officers found a knife in his possession. After he was brought in for questioning, the suspect confessed that he and two other boys murdered Majors. He stated he and his friends tried to rob the college freshman and stabbed her multiple times.
NYPD officers are currently on the lookout for the other suspect after apprehending a second suspect. So far, an arrest has not been made.
