21 Savage’s Deportation Hearing Postponed Until Further Notice
While he was set to appear in court on April 9 for his arrest by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, 21 Savage‘s deportation hearing has been postponed until further notice.
Additionally, as he continues to attain his U.S. citizenship and is no longer in detention, 21’s case is traveling among different groups of judges.
In addition, 21’s lawyer, Charles Kuck says, “They don’t have enough nondetained judges, so his case is waiting to be assigned. I can’t give anybody, even him, a date as to when that might be.”
Furthermore, on his arrest, 21 says, “The worst thing was sitting in there not knowing what was going to happen, or when it’s going to happen. Whenever I went to jail before, it was, ‘You’re being charged with this and going to court on this date.’ But immigration ain’t like that. You’re just being held.”
