81,000 People Sign Petition To Shut Down McKamey Manor In Tennessee

A petition has been created to shut down the infamous McKamey Manor, a Tennessee haunted house where participants are required to endure “ten hours of torture” after signing a 40-page waiver.

According to the Daily Mail, the petition titled ‘Shut Down McKamey Manor’ gained over 81,000 signatures after creator Frank Towery stated the haunted house attraction targets weak-minded people in order to torture them for hours.

‘They do screenings to find the weakest, most easily manipulated people to do the “haunt,” If Russ doesn’t think you’re easily manipulated, you aren’t allowed to go.’

The McKamey Manor is operated by Russ McKamey and he uses the participant’s ‘personal fear’ in order to give them an unforgettable experience. They are required to sign a 40-page waiver before entering the attraction which includes “death” as an option.

‘Participatn fully understands and agrees that once participant enters MM, there is no quitting unless physical or psychological injury is present.’
