Following the release of Lifetimes “Surviving R. Kelly” the R&B singer and his former team have been hit with legal troubles.
CNN reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for R. Kelly’s former manager James Mason.
Mason is being accused of threatening to kill Joycelyn Savage’s father, she is one of the women who is allegedly being held captive by Kelly.
The incident allegedly took place in May of 2018 when Timothy Savage went public about his daughter’s situation with Kelly.
Timothy says that Mason sent him threats saying,
“I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f***ing kill you.”
Once those threats were handed over to authorities, a judge said that the threats were,
“terroristic threats and acts.”
Joycelyn has taken to TMZ to publicly send messages to her family to say that she is not being held against her will.
“I just want everybody to know — my parents and everybody in the world — that I’m totally fine. I’m happy where I’m at and everything is OK with me,” she said in the video.
