Rapper A$AP Rocky is reportedly giving back to the Swedish prison he was held in as sources say he designed their new uniforms.
Ahead of his return to Sweeden to perform, rapper A$AP Rocky has reportedly designed new prison uniforms for prisoners.
A$AP Rocky recently sat down with Jeff Rosenthal, co-founder of Summit, to talk about all things “Culture, Clothes, and Cultivating Creative Legacy.”
During this conversation, A$AP Rocky’s sting in a Swedish prison was a topic of conversation. This past summer, A$AP spent nearly a month in a Sweden prison after being arrested and charged with assault.
While there the rapper says he met many men who were fans of hip hop.
“When I was going through my whole situation, the whole time I used to look on television and see Swedish fans showing me so much love and I want to give it back,” he said.
And he is giving back in a major way. Not only will the rapper be heading back for a concert in December, but he has reportedly designed prison uniforms for the inmates he was locked up with.
“most of the proceeds [from performances in Sweden] will go to inmates and prison reformation. I’m trying to do what I can with what I can, I just want to keep creating and encouraging whoever is after me to do it better”.
As of now, no pictures have surfaced of the uniforms, but as soon as they do, we will share them on our Instagram!
