Alex Trebek is set to return to the “Jeopardy!” stage after finishing rounds of chemotherapy!
Longtime game show host Alex Trebek has been cleared to return to the “Jeopardy!” stage after completing chemotherapy.
Trebek announced awhile back that he was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. His doctors have said that they were impressed with his treatments and how well his body was responding.
“The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory…some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent,” Trebek said.
In a recent clip posted to Facebook, Trebek can be seen preparing for season 36, doing some pushups and saying;
“We have some exciting things coming up, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. Let me tell you, it’s going to be a good year.”
During his treatment, Alex said;
“I’ve got a couple million people out there who have expressed their good thoughts, their positive energy directed towards me and their prayers,”
“I told the doctors, this has to be more than just the chemo, and they agreed it could very well be an important part of this.”
Season 36 is said to air on September 9th only on ABC.
