Alfonso Ribeiro Denied Rights To ‘Carlton Dance’ Amid Fortnite Lawsuit

It seems like Alfonso Ribeiro and his lawsuit against Fortnite may be in jeopardy, this after the U.S. Copyright Office denied him rights to the iconic dance, TMZ reports.

Also, a rep for the offices explains, “The combination of these three dance steps is a simple routine that is not registrable as a choreographic work.”

In addition to Ribeiro admitting, previously on camera, that he stole the dance, the latest news of his copyright denial will definitely hurt him in court should his lawsuit against the gaming company, and also NBA 2K, go to trial.
