Justice is served after a jury reached a verdict surrounding the tragic murder of Bronx teen Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz.
According to CBS Local New York, all five gang members Jonaiki Martinez Estrella, Manuel Rivera, Elvin Garcia, Jose Muniz, and Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago have been found guilty on all counts for the murder of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz. The case has gained international attention last year on June 20 after the five men were caught on camera brutally attacking and stabbing Junior near a bodega in the Belmont section of the Bronx. The men will be convicted on charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, gang assault, and conspiracy. They also face 20 years to life in prison.
Before the verdict, the jury asked to see all evidence that the prosecution provided, even details that were not presented during the trial. Prosecutors stated during the trial that the men murdered Junior in a case of mistaken identity.
10 suspects were also arrested in connection with Junior’s murder and a sentencing date for the five gang members was not scheduled as of yet.
