According to French investigators, the late Anthony Bourdain had no sign of drugs or narcotics in his system, when he passed.

The famed and beloved chef died after committing suicide earlier this month after he was found hanging in his hotel bathroom in France. It was initially unclear if he had ingested any narcotics before his suicide. According to The New York Times French official’s ruled the possibility of drugs out.

The report says the only thing found in his body was a trace of a non-narcotic medicine in a therapeutic dose. Bourdain, 61, had been in the village filming his CNN show “Parts Unknown” with Eric Ripert, the chef of Le Bernardin in New York.

Bourdain had skipped dinner the evening before his body was discovered. When he did not arrive for breakfast with Mr. Ripert the next morning, a receptionist went into his room and found his body.
