Looks like Ariana Grande can’t post a picture of herself unless she gets clearance as she is being sued by a photographer who took a photo of her.
Ariana Grande may be headed to a local courtroom to fight a copyright infringement claim over a picture she posted to her Instagram account.
In court documents obtained by E! News, photographer Robert Barbera is suing Grande for posting a picture of herself in 2018 without his licensing, permission or consent.
The fees include money from copyright infringement, attorney fees, and costs, falsifying copyright management, statutory damages up to $25,000 for each violation and punitive damages.
The picture which has since been deleted featured Grande walking out of a building with a clear bag that said “Sweetener.”
The word on the bag happened to represent her fourth studio album which she reiterated in the caption which said: “Happy Sweetener Day” which received three million likes.
With 154 million followers grande is posting to her social media account just about every day. As more news about this lawsuit is released, we will keep you updated!
