Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ Video Breaks YouTube Record

Singer Ariana Grande has made YouTube history as she breaks the record for most streams in 24 hours.

Ariana Grande hit the jackpot with her latest video for her recent song “Thank You, Next” as it blew up overnight.

As of Saturday, Grande’s music video has obtained 50.3 million views. That is a record for any video on the streaming platform.

The video takes major inspiration from some of the most popular movies from the 2000s like “Mean Girls,” “Bring It On,” “13 Going On 30” and “Legally Blonde.”

On Friday when the video was first released, it had already hit a record within just 22 hours of being live as she had 46 million views.

Not only did she break the record for most views in 24 hours, but she also set the record for the most-viewed video that used YouTube’s Premiere scheduling feature with 829,000 viewers watching simultaneously.

While watching the video, fans of the singer managed to send over 516,000 chats which again was another record for YouTube.
