The duct-taped banana saga continues after a Massachusetts man vandalized the now empty wall with lipstick and white cardboard and wrote: “Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself” on Sunday afternoon.
The Miami Herald reports the $120,000 worth exhibit was vandalized by 46-year-old Rodrick Webber. Many attendees at the Emmanuel Perrotin art gallery assumed the words were another part of the exhibit but realized it wasn’t when they saw Webber writing on the wall.

“We saw this guy live-streaming… and he starts writing on the wall and I was like, ‘No way, there’s no way this guy is writing. No pena, no nothing,”
In a video uploaded to social media, Webber could be heard talking to a security guard asking him “this is the gallery where anyone can do art, right?” after vandalizing the wall.

The arrest affidavit stated that Webber was arrested and charged with criminal mischief. During his arrest, Webber also yelled about the artwork’s pricing and his rights as he was being escorted of the Miami Convention Center.
“If someone can eat the $120,000 banana and not get arrested, why can’t I write on the wall?”
