More details are starting to come out about Chris Brown’s latest arrest in Paris. It was initially reported that Brown was detained after a woman filed a complaint stating that she was raped in his hotel room. He was looking at potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions.

However, after an investigation, they found no evidence and decided to let him go without charges. Brown even spoke out once he was released and said he plans to take legal action against the woman for lying on him.

His French attorney Raphaël Chiche told Agence France-Presse has also spoken out to clear the singer’s name. He said in addition to having no involvement in sexual or criminal activities with the alleged victim, the coke cops found when they arrested Brown at the Mandarin Oriental hotel Monday “was not his” and “belonged to those who had come to party in his suite on the night of January 20-21.”

Cops also found weed on the singer while arresting him. However, he had a note from an American doctor for medical marijuana, the lawyer said.

The prosecutor’s office said Brown along with his friend and bodyguard who were detained with him are still under investigation on suspicion of aggravated rape and a drug offense — but Brown was reportedly told he was allowed to leave the country.
