High fashion is meeting streetwear as Puma and Balmain team up for a collaboration that is both unisex and boxing-inspired!
On Thursday, Puma and Balmain announced that they have a boxing-inspired collaboration in the works expected out before the year is over!
Puma is well known for its street style of sportswear mixed with sneakers and tones of collaborations. While Olivier Rousteing has prided his brand Balmain to be a lavish famous house with pieces decked out in crystals and colors. So think of merging these two together and you get the best of both worlds!
This collection features mesh tank tops, distressed and striped hoodies, graphic T-shirts and slim sweatpants to make pieces that are more for pleasure. While there are other pieces like sequined pre-fight gowns, bombers and souvenir jackets, anchored by boxing shorts, glistening track pants, and shapely hourglass dresses, that give more of a statement look! Not to mention the “PUMA” and “Balmain” logos are plastered on each piece.
Taking charge in the campaign for this collection is Rousteing’s good friend and high fashion model Cara Delevingne. She shared her thoughts about this new collab saying;
Rousteing followed up with a statement as well saying;
“Cara is a good friend, and this is the fruit of a shared vision. Everyone involved —- PUMA, Balmain, Cara and me -— was determined to create something timeless. Above all, we knew that our message needed to be a strong one, reflecting exactly who we are and what we believe in.”
You can expect to shop this collection starting on November 22 on both PUMA and Balmain’s official websites. More pieces are expected to be released as Balmain will debuting six new looks as part of their Spring 2020 collection!
