The Bay area is showing out for their local Warriors during the NBA finals, so much so one radio station is banning drake music in the Bay.
If you live in the Bay Area and planned on listening to Drake on your way to work in the morning, you may have to find another radio station to listen to.
With the Golden State Warriors going against the Toronto Raptors in the NBA finals, KBLX a Bay Area radio station has banned all Drake songs for the remainder of the NBA finals.
That’s right, they are not trying to have any bad luck playing through your speakers as they are hoping that the Warriors win yet another championship ring.
“We could not stand on the sidelines and accept Drake showing no love for our Golden State Warriors,” KBLX operations director Elroy Smith told the Mercury News. “It is my joy to cease and desist all of Drake’s music on KBLX in support [of] a team that is loved by the Bay Area and around the world.”
During the NBA playoffs, Drake was making major headlines for his sideline antics that even causing a small talking match with Draymond Green.
As of now, the series is tied 1-1 with the Warriors hosting the Raptors on Wednesday night for game 3.
