Becca Cosmetics has come under fire after fans say they used blackface in recent swatch images for their new foundation.
Makeup brands are now doing major things as they have realized that it is important to have various foundation colors to fit a wide array of skin tones.
While some have succeeded, there are some who have failed and social media is not afraid to let them know there’s a problem!
While Becca cosmetics has succeeded in making products for various skin shades, they are getting heat for their advertisements for the new product.
Many noticed that the hands used to showcase the swatches on different skin tones has been photoshopped. Fans call out the brand saying that they were too proud to have a black person represent a live skin tone instead of making one hand darker.
One user said;
“So did Becca cosmetics really refuse to hire black women for these swatches? They just edited a white hand darke. Look at the two darker hand’s palms. Sometimes I wonder if these people have actually met a black or brown person in their lives.”
Many others came forward to share their disappointment in the brand on Twitter. Scroll through the gallery to see what people are saying!
