Bill Cosby Fires Entire Legal Team Following Guilty Verdict.
The disgraced comedian, who was found guilty on three counts of aggravated sexual assault, has fired his entire legal team, which had been led by Tom Mesereau. Last month, Bill Cosby was found guilty on three counts of committing aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand in 2004, at his Philadelphia home.
According to Deadline, Cosby will now be represented by Joseph P. Green Jr., a West Chester, Pennsylvania-based criminal trial lawyer. Following the failing efforts of Michael Jackson’s former attorney of Mesereau, who did not prevent a Norristown, PA jury from finding Cosby guilty.
As of now, Cosby remains free on a $1 million bond after his April 26 conviction. He has been subject to GPS monitoring, and needs permission to leave his Philadelphia-area home and is only permitted to visit his lawyers or doctors.
It has also been reported that Camille Cosby has reportedly filed for divorce and that the 74-year-old left their Pennsylvania mansion, to live in another home in Massachusetts with their three daughters.
Cosby is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 24.
