Birdman Shut Down in Plea for Return of Lil Wayne Platinum Records
Birdman has been denied by a judge in his attempt to retrieve his Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne records that have been stuck in a storage unit ever since the music mogul was hit with a $12 million lawsuit.
On December 5, a judge denied the rapper’s motion for return of personal property. The court heard arguments from both sides and sided against Birdman.
The Blast reports that the music mogul initially went to court asking the judge to help him get back his personal property.
Birdman said that the property includes old stereo engineering equipment, a pool table, more than 70 pairs of shoes, one box of sweatpants, one box of baby pants and 14 sweaters.
He also asked for the return of his music awards, including BET Award, MTV Award, and multiple BMI awards Birdman also wants the record plaques of Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne given back to him.
The rapper claims the lender suing him has refused to allow him to get his property.
