Boy Who Used Birthday Money to Feed Dorian Evacuees Is Surprised With Disney World Trip

Disney employees showed up outside of an interview with “Good Morning America” to deliver Jermaine Bell’s gift in person. The precious little boy even got a hug from the Mouse himself.

As we previously reported, Jermaine originally had plans to visit Disney but they were dashed when Dorian struck the Carolinas last week. He was with his grandmother in Allendale, South Carolina, and spent what money he’d been saving for a trip to the theme parks on hundreds of hot dogs, chips and water to feed evacuees for free. Although he really wanted to go, he just knew that helping out others would be the better thing to do.

“I just wanted to be generous,” he told CNN last week. Speaking with the Disney crew outside his home, Jermaine shared how excited he was after realizing his wish had finally come true.

“When Mickey came out, I was just really happy,” he said in a video from Disney.

Jermaine and his family will get to visit the Orlando parks sometime later this month when he’s not in school.
