Brittney Taylor Says Misunderstanding Over Remy Ma’s Stepdaughter Led To Black Eye

After sharing a video with a bruised eye and blaming it on rapper Remy Ma, Love and Hip-Hop star Brittney Taylor is now speaking out and sharing more details on how it all happened.

Taylor spoke with the Daily News and explained that it was “misunderstanding” that led to rapper Remy Ma squaring her in the eye. According to Taylor, the two exchanged words at Irving Plaza on Tuesday over an incident involving Ma’s stepdaughter Dejanae in Miami during spring break. Taylor told the news site that she “defended” Dejanae from a man who was physically abusing her.

“What happened with me and Dej in Miami is I saved her—I saved her life, and [Remy] got aggressive [when Brittany told her at Irving],” she said.

Apparently, Remy Ma didn’t believe that story, according to Taylor. “She was like, ‘That’s not what I heard,’ and she punched me in the face,” the reality star said. What’s shocking is the Brittney, who has a history of trolling Ma, told the Daily News that she’s actually disappointed in the veteran rapper because she’s supposed to be an example for young girls.

“I just don’t feel like it’s okay for people to put their hands on someone that’s not being malicious to them, that’s being genuine,” she added. “She’s supposed to be someone with the status and power that she can use for good or bad,” she said. “She shouldn’t be punching someone — punching someone so hard in the face to the point that here we are four days later and my eye’s only getting worse. It really hurts.”

Ma, 38, has not commented on the incident. Nor have her handlers. Cops are currently investigating, but have made any arrests.

Remy Ma is also currently on parole for shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the torso outside a Manhattan deli back in 2007. Remy has tried her best to stay out of trouble for the sake of her career and family.
