Brooklyn Shooting Leaves Four Dead, Several Others Injured
Four people were shot dead and three others were injured early Saturday morning in a shooting at an illegal gambling club in Brooklyn.
According to authorities the incident went down around 7 a.m. inside a building in the Crown Heights neighborhood.
Four men were pronounced dead at the scene, police said and three other victims were sent to Brookdale University hospital.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams asked for better resources to help fund gun violence following the incident,
“While we are waiting for all the facts to come in, one thing is clear: We need new tools to combat the surge in gun violence we are seeing in certain precincts across the city, including the 77th,” Adams said. “That’s why I’ve called for the City to double funding for Cure Violence programs, especially in areas like Crown Heights and Brownsville.”
As of now police do not know what prompted the shooting, but, two potential suspects are in custody.
