A surveillance video captured a deranged school bus driver mocking and violently dragging an eight-year-old girl with autism.
According to the Daily Mail UK, police arrested 64-year-old Kim Klopson in February after inspecting the disturbing footage of Klopson abusing an eight-year-old girl from Browns Valley Elementary. Klopson was dropping off a group of students at the school when the girl stuck out her leg while another child was walking down the middle aisle. The video then shows her confronting the girl and threatening her:
‘And if you stick your feet out again to keep her from moving, you are going to be on the window. Got it?’
Klopson takes away the girl’s backpack and forces her to stay in her seat. The girl begins to cry as Klopson taunts her repeatedly. She grabs the girl and drags her across the floor towards the exit door while continuing to taunt her.
‘You might think you can get away with this, but not on my bus, now you ready? Let’s go,’

A police statement noted that the child sustained abrasions during the incident. Klopson continues to abuse and berate the child while a school aide watches. The girl is heard screaming and crying for three-and-a-half minutes. After Klopson forces the child to wear her backpack, the child says to her “I don’t like you” and Klopson repeats the child’s statement.
The child continues to plead for her while she exits the bus and Klopson tells the rest of the students “It’s OK I didn’t hurt her, guys”.
Police arrested Klopson on a charge of felony child abuse after the Vacavillle Unified School District reported the incident on February 6. Klopson was terminated from her position. She pleaded not guilty in court to a charge of cruelty to a child by inflicting injury and her next court appearance is in July.
The child’s family is planning to file a civil lawsuit against the school district. As for Klopson, she recently told a local news outlet that the video should not have been public.
