If Mayweather-Mcgregor wasn’t enough entertainment, tonight’s fight definitely added to it. Gennady Golovkin and superstar Canelo Alvarez took to the T-Mobile arena’s boxing ring tonight, and the results ended in a draw.
Ahead of this boxing super fight, Golovkin was coming in 37-0 with 33 wins by knockout. Alvarez came in with 49-1-1 with 34 wins by KO.

It was definitely one of the most competitive superfights on paper that boxing has seen in recent years. The fight was scored 118-110 (Canelo), 115-113 (GGG) and 114-114. Golovkin left with his undefeated record and multiple middleweight titles. Alvarez remained with his lineal middleweight crown. The draw means there is possibility for a rematch in the future.
It is reported that parts of the proceeds from the fight will go to the aid of Hurricane Harvey and Irma victims.
