Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Janelle Monae and More Slated To Perform At 2019 Grammy’s!
The 61st annual show, airing February 10th at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, will feature some of music’s biggest artists! Thursday, the Recording Academy announced that two-time nominee Camila Cabello and five-time nominee Cardi B, along with Dan + Shay, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monae and Kacey Musgraves will all be hitting the stage. The news comes just three days after Alicia Keys announced she’ll be hosting the big show via her YouTube channel.
The 15-time GRAMMY winner said she feels “honored” to be “in support of so many amazing people”.
“It’s a little bit of a second home to me,” she said. “And I feel so blessed to be able to be coming now, just in support of so many amazing people that are honored — especially so many women that are [going to be] honored — and are gonna be celebrated that night.”
“I want to celebrate!” she added. “I want to be the one that really just continues to reach out to the people that I love and admire and my friends, and just be able to create an amazing energy. So I’m loving it!”
This year, the Academy decided to switch things up for “the big four” categories. Instead of nominating only five artists or bodies of work, there will be eight nominees in the Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year categories. Don’t miss music’s biggest night airing live at the Los Angeles Staples Center next month!
