Cardi B has won her very first Grammy Award for her debut album ‘Invasion of Privacy’!
Cardi B won the Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album’ at the 61st Grammy Awards. She was nominated along with Pusha-T, Travis Scott, and Nipsey Hussle for the coveted category. She noted during her speech that her daughter Kulture was her motivation to complete Invasion of Privacy.
“When I found out I was pregnant, my album was not completed. I only had three songs was for sure having. We was like ‘We have to get this album done and these videos to make sure I’m not showing’ and there were very long nights.”
The Bronx native is the first woman to win the Grammy category as a solo artist.
