Cardi B Wins iHeartRadio Music Award And Shares A Little Message For Her Haters
Another day, another win for Cardi B. On Sunday, (March 11) the rapper took home the award for Best New Artist at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, beating out 21 Savage, GoldLink, Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti.
While accepting her award, Cardi thanked her whole team for helping her with her success. “Oh my God! I am going to thank a lot of people because a lot of people helped me with my success so here it goes,” she started off. “I want to thank my publicist, my team, I want to thank Atlantic, my family. Who else? I want to thank my man.”
The “Pop Off” rapper went on to mention a particular group of people who were always there throughout her success but didn’t necessarily want to see her win: her haters. “I want to thank my haters too. Because, ha-ha-ha, because, they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it. But it benefits me. Ha-ha-ha,” she shared. “My album will be coming in April. Okay? Yes, sir. April. Stay tuned mother f–kers owwww.”
Cardi B’s big award comes after the rapper opened the show with a medley of hits including her “Bodak Yellow,” and it was one hell of a performance.
