Celine Dion Pulls Song With R. Kelly from Streaming Services
Celine Dion seems to be following in Lady Gaga’s footsteps as she just removed her song “I’m your Angel” with R. Kelly from most major streaming services.
The song “I’m Your Angel was recorded in 1998 and appeared on Celine’s holiday album, “These are Special Times.” TMZ reports that R. Kelly wrote the song but he did feature it on any of his albums.
The duet went certified platinum and sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide and was nominated for a Grammy. It also remained No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for six weeks.
Celine’s team is currently in the process of removing the song from all platforms.
As we reported, many artists have distanced themselves from the singer following the release of Lifetime’s “Surviving R.Kelly.” Chance the Rapper, Phoenix and Lady Gaga are just a few!
Kelly’s label RCA/Sony will no longer release any new music from him and they are reportedly looking into voiding his contract.
Kelly is currently under investigation in Georgia and Illinois regarding his alleged crimes.
