Chance The Rapper’s Bodyguard Sued Over Alleged Assault Caught On Cam

Chance The Rapper‘s bodyguard, Star Thomas, is at the center of a lawsuit stemming from a 2017 altercation, and arrest for misdemeanor simple battery, that was caught on camera in the lobby of Chicago’s W Hotel.

Additionally, per TMZ, Travis Montgomery is suing Thomas after having two encounters with Chance and Thomas, the first where Thomas blocked him from entering an elevator with the rapper aboard and the second when things escalated.

While running into his entourage for a second time, Montgomery claims he and Thomas had a verbal exchange, which then led to the guard grabbing him by the neck, pushing him violently against a wall and choking him into a corner. The plaintiff is suing the W and Thomas for damages.
