Child Finds $40,000 Worth Of Meth Inside Box Of Legos
Three woman from Bulloch County unknowingly gifted a young child $40,000 worth of meth that was disguised as a box of legos.
According to The Statesboro Herald, the women bought what they thought was a box of Legos at a consignment shop and left back home thinking it would be a good gift idea.
“They took it and gave it to a young child, who opened the box” and was likely very disappointed, the sheriff said.
The woman then turned the meth over to Bulloch County sheriff’s Investigator Jason Borne. After hours of investigation, it was believed that the package had most likely been shipped to the wrong address.
Dealers tend to mail shipments to abandoned locations in the hopes that someone will pick it up. However, USPS will not deliver to empty locations so the item was later sold after not being picked up.
The woman will not face any charges for transporting or purchasing the meth.
