Xtina is up to something!
While jumping on Twitter Sunday (Apr. 29), Christina Aguilera posted fan-footage of a powerful performance she did in Baku, Azerbaijan a day prior; which hinted at the theme of liberation, further pieced together by fans that her new album is, in fact, ‘Liberation.’
In addition to the album title speculations, Aguilera narrates in the clip, “X, X-tina, exhale, explore, express, experiment, exploit, exclusive, exist, expire. My existence has no expiration. This is my liberation. This is our liberation. Be liberated with me. It’s time for a liberation! Liberation! [6x]. As one a liberated nation. Xtina. Liberation. [combo 4x].”
Also, Xtina posted a cryptic video in Facebook showing 12 surveillance screens, to which her fans (a.k.a. Fighters) have presumed indicates the number of tracks on the new album.
So, if the Fighters are deducing correctly, the new project will feature 12 tracks, be named ‘Liberation‘ and will be the Latin-American’s sixth studio set since 2012’s ‘Lotus.’
Additionally, Aguilera recently opened up about the effects of growing up in a an abusive home to Paper magazine, stating:
“I watched my mom have to be submissive, watch her Ps and Qs or she’s gonna get beat up…You can either be, unfortunately, so damaged by it that you take a turn for the worse, or you can feel empowered by it and make choices to never go down that route”
Perhaps, it’s really time for a liberation!
