Sad news for the makeup world as the co-founder of Benefit Cosmetics Jean Ann Ford has passed away at age 71.
Benefit Cosmetics has lost a major part of their team as their co-founder Jean Ann Ford passes away at age 71.
A spokesperson for the well known cosmetic brand says that Ford passed from Cancer.
Jean and her twin sister Jane co-founded the cosmetic brand back in 1976 with a whimsical theme that still shows to this day through their branding.
While they started off with products like their Real Lengthening Mascara and Watt’s Up highlighter, Benefit has grown to be a worldwide loved brand.
Back in 1999, the pair sold a controlling stake to LVMH and exited their brand in 2012.
Jean leaves behind her twin and Benefit co-founder Jane Ford, daughters Maggie Ford Danielson and Ann Ford Danielson, and four grandchildren.
Our thoughts and prayers are going out to the Ford family and everyone over at Benefit during this time of grieving.
Take a look at the post the brand put on Instagram to remember their late founder.
