Conor McGregor is back throwing his fists, but, not quite in the ring this time. The Irish man went nuclear at an MMA event in Dublin and literally threw hands.
The tantrum started after he slapped a regulatory official and pushing veteran UFC referee Marc Goddard for breaking up his post-fight celebration with training partner Charlie Ward. It all went down after Ward won by 1st-round KO at Bellator 187 — which prompted McGregor to jump into the cage to show his SBG Ireland teammate some real love.
The fact that Conor wasn’t allowed in the cage since he wasn’t a licensed cornerman for Charlie was the issue. Goddard and several fight officials the stepped in to interrupt the moment.
This did not go down too well with Conor, he tried to stop Goddard from getting in his face before officials and his bestie Artem Lobov escorted him from the cage.
However, the MMA fighter was NOT done.He then came back, climbed back on top of the cage and slapped one of the officials on the head.
This is not the first time, last month, Goddard issued McGregor a formal warning during a UFC Fight Night event in Gdansk, Poland. McGregor also attended that event in support of a teammate, featherweight Artem Lobov. Goddard warned McGregor for walking around the cage during the fight.
As of now, it is not clear whether McGregor will face any disciplinary action by the UFC or a regulatory body.
