The Thousand Oaks “Borderline Bar” where 12 people had been murdered following a shooting rampage a month ago is making an effort to return to normal practice. The bar plans to host country night again.
The Borderline Bar & Grill’s management said that they will be bringing their popular Country Line Dancing Night to a new venue, as they’re not yet ready to open their doors. The event will be held at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills which is a 9-minute drive away from Borderline.
The owners say The Canyon Club “graciously allowed us to set up shop and take over Thursday.” The first country night is scheduled for December 20 with doors opening at 6 PM, dance lessons at 6:30 PM then line dancing, drinks and food until closing.
TMZ reports that the bar does plan on opening again, however, the owners are not sure on exactly when.
As we reported, last month an ex-Marine entered the bar and opened fire on students attending Country Night. Police then found the gunman dead by apparent suicide.
