A New York couple who was vacationing in the Dominican Republic did not return back to the United States was reported missing by their families.
According to PIX 11, Orlando Moore and his girlfriend Portia Ravenelle flew out the United States from Newark International Airport around midnight on March 23. Moore’s sister, Lashay Turner, said she has not heard from her brother since he left the United States and the couple was expected to return on March 27.
The couple posted photos of their excursions on social media although their families said the couple did not communicate with them since their arrival to the Dominican Republic. Turner added that she filed a missing person’s report with Mount Vernon Police on March 29 and attempted to inform police on the island but said she had difficulty due to the language barrier.
