A frustrated man who never had a girlfriend was arrested after claiming to be “the next mass shooter” because he’s still a virgin.
Christopher Wayne Cleary posted an alarming Facebook post that caused several concerned women to notify Denver police.
“All I wanted was a girlfriend, not 1000 … not a bunch of hoes … I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m still a virgin,” Cleary wrote on Facebook. “This is why I’m planning on shooting up a public place soon and being the next mass shooter.”
“I’m ready to die and all the girls the turned me down is going to make it right by killing as many girls as I see,” Cleary added, according to the Denver Post.
He also wrote a post saying,
“There’s nothing more dangerous than a man ready to die.”
Following the women’s calls, authorities became increasingly worried because of the many women’s marches over the weekend in Provo, Utah, where Cleary was also staying.
Utah County Major Crime Task Force was able to find Cleary at a McDonald’s in Provo Saturday and arrested him. He was accused of making terroristic threats. Oddly enough, he had already been on probation for stalking and threats when he was cuffed.
He told a detective that he wrote the Facebook post “but claimed to be upset and not thinking clearly when he did so.” He said he soon deleted it after receiving threatening calls. Cleary’s actions are similar to those of Elliot Rodger, a man who murdered six people and wounded 13 in 2014 fueled by a lifetime hatred of women for rejecting his advances.
