DA Considering Plea Deals For Remaining Eight Defendants In Junior Trial
Assistant District Attorney Morgan Dolan announced in court Monday that the District Attorney’s Office is considering to offer plea deals to the eight remaining defendants in the Justice for Junior trial.
Pix11 reports that Frederick Then, Ronald Urena, Jose Tavarez, Danel Fernandez, Gabriel Ramirez Concepcion, Diego Suero, Danilo Payamps Pacheco, and Luis Caberasantos, are facing second-degree murder charges for chasing 15-year-old Lesandro “Junior” Guzman Feliz to his death.
Dolan is offering to lessen the charges to first-degree manslaughter, which carries a 25-year sentence.
Pre-trial hearings are expected to start September 23 for the remaining eight men. As we reported, on Friday all five defendants Jonaiki Martinez Estrella, Manuel Rivera, Elvin Garcia, Jose Muniz, and Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago, were found guilty on murder charges.
