D’Angelo Russell Cited For Smuggling Weed In Fake Iced Tea Can
NBA star D’Angelo Russell was cited at a New York airport after officials discovered weed smuggled in a fake Arizona iced tea can.
TMZ reports that the baller’s luggage searched prior to his flight to Louisville. Apparently, the suspicious tea can set the system off.
The can be discovered to be more than meets the eye as it contained a secret compartment for Russel’s Marijuana and grinder.
Police state that at first, the NBA star Russell attempted to blame his brother for the weed, however, he was traveling alone and seemed to be the only one in possession of the bag.
Russell is reported to have been cited for possession of marijuana that was under 50 grams. Fortunately, he was let go and will most likely have to pay a fine for the ‘crime.’
The Brooklyn Nets also released a statement following the incident saying, “We have been made aware of the situation involving D’Angelo Russell and are in the process of gathering more information at this time.”
