Death Toll In Texas Mass Shooting Increases To Seven
As another tragedy hits Texas, we are saddened to report that the death toll from this weekend’s shooting has risen to seven with at least one of the injured victims still in “life-threatening” condition as of Sunday.
A local student was killed in the shooting, the Ector County school district wrote on Facebook .A 17-month-old girl was injured. Three law-enforcement officers were shot: a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper, an Odessa police officer and a Midland police officer.
As we reported, the shooter initially fired at troopers after being stopped in a routine traffic stop, but he then went on the freeway and began shooting at random people.
He has been identified as a white man in his 30s with no other indication of who he is. He was finally killed in a shootout with police in a movie theater parking lot.
Odessa police rep, Steve LeSueur has revealed that at least one person remains in “life-threatening” condition.
The shooting comes just a few weeks after the Dayton and El Paso shootings.
Police have not identified the rest of the victims yet!
