Derrick Rose Claims A Stolen Bulls Basketball Is The Good Luck Charm Attached To His Recent Success
While he’s previously been derailed by injuries for years, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose scored a career-high 50 points last Wednesday (Oct. 31); all to which he thanks a stolen green basketball.
Additionally, Rose explains that a basketball he stole from his Chicago Bulls days is not only a relic but his good luck charm; one that’s seen him throughout his trials and tribulations, including his first ACL injury in 2012 ’til now.
In addition, the baller says he “stole it” from the organization and regularly used it to work out with former assistant coach Ron Adams (now with the GS Warriors), and says, “[I] used it [the] entire time I was in Chicago, and that was the best I ever shot the ball.”
Furthermore, on his recent career-high game, Rose told publications, “Words can’t explain how I feel right now. It’s been a while, but it feels great.”
