A Missouri woman is stunned after doctors pulled a brown recluse spider out of her ear.
According to WILX, Susie Torres said she was dealing with irritation in her left ear and thought it was filled with water. Torres decided to make a doctor’s appointment when the swishing noise would not go away and during the examination, a medical assistant told Torres she may have an insect living in her ear.
“She ran out and said, ‘I’m going to get a couple more people,’ and she said, ‘I think you have an insect in there. Now, I didn’t panic because I didn’t know what exactly it was.”
After pulling the “insect” out her ear, doctors told Torres that they removed a brown recluse, one of the most dangerous spiders in the world.

Thankfully, Torres was not bitten by the spider but she says she will be more aware before laying down at night.
“I went and put some cotton balls in my ears last night because I didn’t have any earplugs,”
