The news was first shared by Duane in and announment on Twitter. He wrote,

“It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

According to Fox News, Beth was first diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in November of 2017. After undergoing a successful surgery, doctors told her months later that the cancer had returned. She began chemotherapy in December 2018. However, Duane told Us Weekly at the time that she wanted to explore alternative therapies instead. In February she shared a tweet explaining that she was testing out CBD and THC-based therapies and alleged that chemotherapy was “poison.”

Just last weekend she was rushed to the ER and placed in a medically induced coma. Sources told TMZ that Beth was having trouble breathing due to her throat cancer and described the incident as a “choking emergency.” Her family reportedly traveled to Hawaii to be by her side for her final days.

The family shot to fame in 2004, with the A&E premiere of “Dog the Bounty Hunter.” The show ran for eight seasons, before spawning a CMT spinoff and multiple A&E specials. Reports state that a new series, “Dog’s Most Wanted,” is due to air in 2020 on WGN.

Beth Chapman was 51.
