Dominican Republic Resort Temporarily Closed After Woman Is Brutally Beaten
A Dominican Republic resort where a Delaware woman was brutally beaten has temporarily closed.
Majestic Resorts says it has lost thousands of tourists since American’s began dying or being seriously harmed while visiting the island.
The NY Post reports that Tammy Lawrence-Daley, 51, shared her horrific ordeal via Facebook and revealed that she was beaten and strangled to the point of unconsciousness while staying at the Majestic’s Punta Cana resort in January. She was on vacation with her husband, Christopher, when she was hit with a club, strangled and potentially sexually assaulted by a man who was allegedly wearing a resort uniform.
Following the numerous tragedies that occurred in the D.R, Majestic Resorts said it will close on Aug. 15 and to reopen on Nov. 7.
