Donald Trump is not the only person rubbing people the wrong way. His son, Donald Trump Jr. has been facing heavy criticism for his latest comments on the border wall.
Trump Jr. shared an Instagram post last night where he compared the proposed border wall to a zoo fence. He wrote on his Instagram Story,
“You know why you can enjoy a day at the zoo? Because walls work.”

Many people who caught that post quickly took to Twitter to call him out. One user said,
“Last night Donald Trump Jr. posted on Instagram: “You know why you can enjoy a day at the zoo? Because walls work.” Immigrants are not Animals at a zoo! Immigrant children are not violence beasts! The only animals here, are you @DonaldJTrumpJr, and your disgusting father!” Another said, “Actually I can’t enjoy a day at the zoo right now. The National Zoo is currently closed due to the #TrumpShutdown.”
On Tuesday, President Trump addressed the nation and said the government shutdown will go on for a long time. He also called the conflict at the southern border a “crisis of the heart and the crisis of the soul” and repeated his request for $5.7 billion for a steel barrier. However, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Chuck Schumer stood firm with their position that the government shutdown must end in order to continue talks about border funding.
