Donald Trump Storms Out Of Meeting About Shutdown
Donald Trump stormed out of a meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer after they once again denied to fund his border wall.
Trump called the meeting “a total waste of time,” while federal workesrs continue to work without pay as the US government shutdown goes into its 19th day.
The President took to Twitter to express his thoughts and say “Bye Bye” to the Democrats,
“Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!”
Following the meeting, Sen. Schumer and Nancy Pelosi spoke outside the White House in regards to the sitdown that suddenly went south after Pelosi shutdown Trump’s border wall funding.
“He couldn’t get his way and he just walked out of the meeting,” said Schumer. “Trump slammed the table … He just walked out and said, ‘We have nothing to discuss.’”
It looks like Donnie doesn’t plan on opening the government any time soon.
